I love how you've mixed in blue to the shade, makes it so lively. *A*
(Haha, in Sweden we call those 'laugh-gulls' XD)

thanks...that blue is what happens to the black ink when it gets too wet.
When I was in Sweden I watched one of these feeding (or at least that's what it looked like) in a river. It kept making these big dramatic swoops on unseen thingys just under the surface and then fancy loop-the-loops up the air. It was cool ....but it never laughed

Oh, is that so? XD
I thought you had those on Ireland too. Well, we call them laugh-gulls because of their noise. XD

Yeah, we have them here too but I don't often get to see them. The common gull is more...eh..common here.

Great texture in the blue shadows. The whole image is simple and clean, yet the style is imperfect and full of character. Delish.

Thank you

It's a very striking animal.. as common as they are, it's easy to forget things like magpies and crows etc. are as interesting as exotic animals.

Thanks That yellowing is a happy accident. The black ink separates when it becomes over-wet and it goes either yellow or blue depending on the amount of water and how long it takes to dry.
Which is handy, with just black ink you can end up with a 4-colour image
