You read that title right, folks! Here as the first installation of my "Future Mane 6" miniseries for Harmonyverse is the new mayor of Ponyville, Pinkie Pie!

Now, I bet you're thinking, "Pinkie Pie as mayor? That'll be a disaster!", and to be fair, most others thought so, too- including the Mane 6. Before becoming mayor, Pinkie was content in being a (new!) mother and, of course, proud co-founder of the Cheese & Pie Paloozaporium, a party planning business (with a rumored secret society under it!) she and Cheese Sandwich created together. When Mayor Mare declared her retirement, Pinkie was devastated. Afraid the town so near and dear to her heart would become mismanaged with a new mayor, Pinkie Pie decided to step up to the plate and become a candidate in the running to become future mayor.

Many citizens, despite their love for Pinkie, couldn't understand her reasoning on why she of all ponies would want to become mayor- all the responsibilities and duties she's have to attend would only cramp up her schedule and make her miserable! The job simply wasn't fun. Most confused of all where Pinkie's friends. The girls were afraid she'd bite off more than she could chew and would, quite simply, fail at the job, and they didn't want Pinkie to feel bad for it. Still, Pinkie was adamant on pursuing this, and while she was happy with who she was before, a small part of her had always been worried she didn't measure up to her friends, who were all quite successful in their own rights as business owners and celebrities, and of course, princesses. Pinkie was proud to be a business owner herself, but she always worried she didn't seem quite so "grown up" in comparison to her friends, and she wanted to dream a little bigger, and, despite their hesitance at first, Pinkie won over her friends in helping her with the campaign.

Pinkie Pie might be a fun-loving, party-planning silly filly, but, as shown several times in the show before, she is also precise, organized, vigilant, and a unique problem solver. She knows absolutely everyone in Ponyville and would go out of her way to help anyone in need. After a successful campaign (her slogan being "Think Pink!") thanks to the help of her friends, who had begun to realize that Pinkie really was the perfect candidate, Pinkie was able to prove to everyone just what a qualified pony she was for the job, and won by a landslide in the polls- the after party, hosted by her overjoyed and proud husband, Cheese, and her very own apprentice, Party Favor, would be remembered throughout Ponyville history afterwards, and was one of the greatest celebrations the town had every seen.

Pinkie Pie manages her role as mayor with relish, and while she herself was a little afraid of it being boring at first, she's learned how to make it fun for herself and for others, and is all around a very good mayor. Pinkie Pie is joined by Council Mare Applejack in executive decision making (along with other council members, but AJ being chief among them), and of course, she consults with Princess Twilight Sparkle on important town matters from time to time. Despite being mayor, Pinkie Pie is still Chief Event Planner for big parties, though she shares the title with Cheese because there ain't no party like a Cheese Pie party, hehe.

Phew! That was more than I thought I'd write, hehe.

I love the idea of Pinkie becoming an official party planner when she becomes older, but I also feel like it's been done a lot, and while I love Pinkie's fun-loving spirit, I wanted to put her in a situation where she'd mature a little more, and having her become mayor was something I felt just came naturally to her (I mean, have you seen her filing system? She's a genius!). Pinkie remains as mayor for a successful term (around 2-3 years), and while she loved her job, she eventually steps down from it after feeling like she was missing out in her family life (their daughter, Cherry Surprise, was around 5-7 years old while she was mayor). Still, Pinkie remains as a council member even after her resignation (as Chief Event Planner, of course), and is replaced by Amethyst Star as mayor. Pinkie returns to work as Cheese's partner in their business after she steps down, and she'd be lying if she had said she didn't miss party planning a whole lot, heh. Pinkie's success as mayor is something she'll always be proud of, and while she may have left the role behind, she is still honored as one of Ponyville's best mayors in history.

I'll be doing Applejack next, since I mentioned her here, and I hope to complete all of the Mane 6 before eventually working on their spouses, too. In the meantime, enjoy, folks! Hope my rambling wasn't too much, hehe.
