  After defeating Trifaccia and Zarmangarof the Dragon, the adventurers are now able to make the last blow to the perverted monarchy of Korvosa. At the initiative of Captain Cressida Croft, they had to carry out a commando mission within the palace itself and weaken its defences to facilitate a frontal assault by the resistance troops.

Linnick teleported them all to a platform at the top of the palace, which until recently was used for the landing of the Sable Company riders mounted on hippogriffs. The place was deserted, lit only by the brightness of the full moon.
  "No one in sight," Lucian said in a low voice.
  "The guard must be snoozing at this hour too," Linnick joked.
  "Devils don't sleep," Alika said.
  "So let's not hang around and go inside," Erethwen replied.
      "I'm going to make some light, we humans, my dear Erethwen, can't see much at night," Linnick added.
"Do what you want, but talk a little less loud," admonished Lady.

THUMP.

  A thud and heavy noise accompanied by a stench of sulphur were the first signs of what was to follow. Linnick turned first to face a winged creature nearly 3 meters high. His reddish skin was covered with black metal armor ornamented with iron points. His head was adorned with a pair of curved horns that highlighted the malignancy of his vicious look. But the most terrible thing was his gigantic weapon covered with spikes the size of a dagger. The guardian devil. He had just landed behind them. Without a sound.
  "The fucking devil! " Shouted Linnick.
