Description
My entry for 's art contest: [link]I was going for a bit of an 80's "Miami Vice" vibe.
You wouldn't believe how long
I've spent working on this.
I only finished this off a
couple of minutes ago.

I drew this in Photoshop CS4.
I used multiple layers and drew
out all the shapes with the pen/
path tool.

It's not just a matter of talent.
Patience has a lot to do with it,
as well.

Great picture with loads of detail! I love the jagged wheels, reminds me of older games on the Playstation

Funny you should mention that...
It kind of reminds me of the polygonated
figures used in the Virtua Fighter game
from the mid-1990's.

Hi winterfox51 ,I've been trying to alert deviant users that Duraluminwolf aka Stuart McCarthy passed away suddenly in November 2015.He was 38.Β He had been a member here for some years and had a rare and beautiful talent. His work can also be seen on Spontoon Island where there is a tribute to him.
Could you tell other users of his passing? Thanks. Heather.

To be honest, I had an inkling
that was the building you were
talking about.

And I might add it can
be quite a labourious

What did you draw this with?
I like the expression. The car looks great too. The only things I'm not so keen on are the angular curves (eg wheels, headrests). Otherwise, nice work.

I used Photoshop CS4.
The tool I used was the pen.

I'm quite taken with the '65-'68 fastbacks.
I quite like the '70 models as well.
I wonder how desirable a 2004 Mach 1 is?

This is absolutely amazing, great job!
How did you know yellow cars are my favorite?

duraluminwolf In reply to galianogangster [2012-11-10 03:30:43 +0000 UTC]
Well, that's just it-
I had no idea!! I wanted
to use a colour that
wasn't used that often.
The choise of car was a slight
nod to Magnum P.I, as well.
Does it fit the requirements for
the contest?

Probably the 1973 Mach 1 X3
old school :3

I don't have anything against the
styling of the '71-'73 Mustangs,
although they might come accross
as looking rather flabby in
comparison to previous models.
