Description
A small diorama I made just for fun, showing two Ylmaharian trenchers assaulting an Imperial fortification (the second trencher is mostly obscured, appologies for the bad picture). That Guardsman is about to get a faceful of Ylmaharian flamethrower!The two guardsmen are mostly stock parts, trenchers are custom assembled from many sources, and the trench mostly made from plasticard, model I-beams, Tamiya sandbags and filler.

I just hope the trenchers never enter a full scale war with the Imperium. That wouldn't go well for the trenchers.

Indeed. In my own fluff they have contained an imperial invasion, but it's not 'full scale' and not getting many reinforcements.
It's just one planet, and I never intended them to be some kind of conquerors, rather digging in desperately to hold on to their planet.

I suppose they're renegades, but as far as they are concerned they never was part of the Imperium.

They were part of the imperium once, but it's so long ago it's more ancient history.

i wouldn't like to be the guardsmen XD
funny thing, i just finished reading "Deathworld" a book that evolves around a squad of catachan imperials. they could really use a flamethrower sometimes there.
