The reason why everything takes so freaking long.Not a tutorial per se, more of a process thingy...
mmm There are also chapter scripts to determine where the speech bubbles should be.
They're just like the outline but more focused on what the characters say and SFX. And....
BIGGEST TIP OF THEM ALL >>>
Experiment with your pages :
- panel shapes, speech bubbles, effects, color schemes, perspectives, backgrounds, etc...
It makes the drawing process more fun for you and interesting for the readers. That comes very easily if you take your sweet time to draw the comic, since your artistic influences are constantly changing ^^
(but try to keep it consistent

A looot of time, but luckily I took long breaks.
I only worked when I felt like it, so it was never a chore.

The doujinshi'll be bland b&w though, nothing fancy ^^' I love coloured doujinshis, but the workload is astounding 
My school started 1 week ago, so I won't be able to draw as much as I'd like to.. It's taking me 1 and half a day to draw 1 page of detailed sketch. 9 1/2 done so far, still 40 or so to go

As long as you don't overkill yourself with planning, it should all be good.
And don't worry, I think you can manage.you'll learn by trial an error, that's the fun part.
Also drawing a lot of pages before uploading is smart

I'm in between commissions at them moment, I finally figured a plan to finish everything! --- Hopefully lol
I might do another doujinshi...but every time I start planning, it all ends up with NaruSasu mmmm
Though I'm scared of drawing a pairing comic because it will attract the wrong audience. Dunno...Those get a lot of exposure, but it's can get out of control...what do you think?

Ah,the commissions.. They gave me a hard time earlier this year lol. But you've improved that much with markers, I bet you'll have them done in no time. May the Sauce powa bless you with artistic inspiration/ patience,
I just saw in the newest poll, despite me being a pro-SasuSaku most of my watchers prefer SasuNaru, what a surprise. There's always high interest in pairing comics, you definitely won't have to worry about it not getting enough exposure/support. Some people might have complaints but we can't just please anyone[This I keep telling myself] The doujinshi takes you lots of time and energy. If you're doing one, let the pleasure it brings YOU be worth the effort. =]]

Thanks, nat. I'm flattered. Though the doujinshi is a collab with a friend of mine [one hard core Sasuke-man btw]. He writes it, I'll just be focusing on the art this time. Now that you mention it, it's more like a project than an actual doujinshi...

what program did u use to make the speech bubbles and do the colouring? did u use photoshop? and did u have a wacom or sthn to draw it?

I usually draw them manually with Paint tool SAI
(That's why they don't look very good at times)
Same for colors. I also draw with a Wacom tablet
I use Photoshop only for text and typing stuff.

since they are tricky to define, heh.

^^ It is, very. I'm still in the process of trying to create a doujinshi, and after about three months or more, I'm only on the fifth page. I have the story in my head, but as each page passes, I just sketch or draw out my ideas of what should happen next on the fly. But I think I'll try using the outline and storyboard more. ^^
