Description For some years now, I've been saying that I'm going to post a tutorial covering owl anatomy (because there aren't any good tutorials on owl anatomy that I know of) but I never finished it. So just in case I never do finish it, here's a summary of the part about how I draw. This is the easiest way for me to keep legs and such in the right position and works for any bird species as long as you know the correct proportions beforehand (look at a skeleton).
This is very scrap-ish but I'm posting it because I know I would have loved to see something like this when I was a kid trying to figure out how owls worked so I assume someone out there might feel the same.

it's like a little man sitting in a birdsuit-
Thank you for doing this, I have only seen one other owl tutorial on this site and I desperately need some diversity to learn-

I'm sure this will be very helpful . . . not just to me but to many others. I have never found many extremely good owl anatomy tutorials; heck, I can't even think of any sort of helpful little 1 2 3 step thing like this off the top of my head. Thank you very much.
