Description
My third colossus, this one from the earth plane. Instead of a huge guy made of spiky rocks, I decided I might try mud and dried-out clay. I was at a loss for what to put on his head and finally decided to give him a bunch of plateaus, kind of like the Devil's Tower monument I visited when I was a kid.Related content

OK, this has to be my favourite of all of these that you've uploaded recently, you've put so much thought and creativity into this, I'm impressed... I love the way he has a kinda slimey look but at the same time he's rock hard (hence the mud and dried-out clay.... duh silly me) and then the rather deep cave-like eye and the sharp teeth... If only I had these pictures when I was younger, they'd be the most awesome nightmares ever! You should make creepy kids books as well, like the sort that there would be a bit of controversy over because they are so damn creepy >

When I was a kid there was a series of children's books called "Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark" There were three books and they were all collections of ghosts stories from american folklore. They were illustrated by the guy named Stephen Gammell, and he drew the most terrifying pictures for each story. The illustrations were so scary, bloody, and creepy, especially for a kid's book, that some schools banned the books. Seeing his pictures when I was little scared the crap out of me and had a profound effect on me as a kid and an artist. I'd definitely recommend checking them out [link] (amazon lets you see inside some of the books so you can see his illustrations)
I've just found out that they're re-printing the books and they got a different less scary illustrator to do them now If you do try to order the books, don't get the new ones illustrated by Brett Helquist, they're not nearly as good

Amazing Hmm perhaps this is why the only ridiculous and hilarious ugly looking pictures that I draw ever look good... Everything else I draw seems to be lacking in something... I think this is because as a kid, I read some crazily stupid books like one where a boy's toilet comes to life and its got teeth and it walks around and stuff :S and just plain weird stuff I guess hehe
. Those books look interesting
I love monsters and creepy things
thank you for the kinda long message btw When I get paid, I'm going to buy one of them
anyways thanks again
I'm happy you don't get annoyed by my masses of messages (and how long they are)
