I go hunting Deathclaws with an Anti-Materiel rifle, and I'm always super careful, because this totally happens to me on a regular basis.

Always the Anti-Materiel rifle for me. I dunno, it's like an unspoken rule. Something about settling down behind a bush half a mile away as they run around looking for the source of their sudden invitation to tea at Death's house.
The little ones and/or blind ones that finally catch a whiff of me, I generally introduce to Shotgun Justice.

First time playing Fallout new vegas, its about 12 at night, and im in the middle of the wasteland, and im seeing all these warnings for "deathclaws". I blow it off, just thinkin that they are just "some monster". When i frist saw one i nearly had a heart attack

I raised my own deathclaw from an egg and he is my favorite companion.
