Happened to me, but I was out of ammo, and I mean out I had no ammo at all. I punched tghe deathclaw and it killed me in three hits.

Usually the situation for me isn't: Click click crap; its: "oh what a beautiful day in Sunny Nevada", thump Thump THUMP! "Whats that noise behind me?", turn around, deathclaw strike, "Oh shit!". Falls down, dinner bell,"Boom!", deathclaw=dead.

ha yeh melee against deathclaws is a bitch!...i tend to snipe em or if i'm feeling creative then set a few frag mines as a trap and make my presence known lol

In fallout 3 I always wanted to fist fight a beahemoth but my friends think im mental.

I think it's a blind Deathclaw and it's just determining if this thing it's sniffing is it's next meal. Looks like it figured that out as she ran out of ammo... xD

I have one moment in New Wegas- Researching some wastelands(i was really early in the game) and Deathclaw attaced me- So I started shooting it- it took all ammo of all of my wearpons to kill this ONE, so i am really low on health and after couple of metters- i am jumped by 5 of them....less than a second dead

Likely was, there are a shit load of Deathclaws near those, but what worked for me was The Mercenary Grenade Rifle, even early on that thing saved my ass many times.

lol, yeh, I've held up atop the conveyer machinery in the quarry and just set every mine i could and spent the next half hour dealing with the entire pack and mother and alpha deathclaw...............was fun! ha
