This is one of our newest birds. He is a Black Hawk-Eagle (aka Tyrant Hawk-Eagle). He is currently in training, and is very smart and VERY handsome!Feel free to use my photos as references and stock. Please give me credit if you use my photo! I would love to see what you make, so send me a link!

are you planning on hunting him? I would be very interested in what and how good they can hunt...But he is a really stunning bird! *.*

Thank you! No, we won't be hunting with him. There are less than 10 of these birds in the US. He will be use for education only. In the wild these guys can take birds as large as tucans, but usually hunt small birds and rodents. I would imagine as a falconry bird he would do really well on a wide variety of game.
