la, I needed to draw the scarf before it went back to japan with Jack
Me loves it. Pee ess, my fav bit is the white ribbon and lace hidden at the edge of the picture ^^

Last year I did another digi self portrait and my mother gave it to some of my relatives with their christmas presents.
I had to sit through christmas lunch gritting my teeth while my oh-so-knowledgeable uncle had to tell everyone how ANYONE really could do something like that of course, photoshop makes things so easy, wasn't it clever of little Katie to play with brushes... bah.
It's done from scratch, I hate photoshop, I avoid using premade brushes and effects whenever possible, and IT IS NOT A FRECKING PHOTO! xD

But the thing is, you could almost take it as a compliment. Not that your uncle doesn't have confidence in yer ability. But that he was unwilling to believe it wasn't an altered photo because it was just so fecking good. Props!

critiquing - I wish that it was not so dark/shadowy on the right, or that the white was a colour. It clashes or contrasts or something too much in my opinion : o

Try refreshing now, the other uploaded version was a really really crappy jpg
The colours/contrast in this should look better. It's still meant to be really dark and the white is meant to be WHITE; it's light. The whole thing is to show the white (light) lighting up the shadows.
