Description
Logo and Identity concept for a Gourmet Cupcake Bakery, a personal collaborative project between myself, Joshua Cubbin , Lauren Reeves, and Darko Andreski.Shown here are a collection of instore consumables and individual cupcake packaging.
Boxes feature a variety of patterns printed inside, and are natural recycled brwn card stock, overprinted with darker brown. Sticker seals are hand printed using gocco.
Also shown: store receipt, disposable utensils, sugar sachets, and coffee cups.
About 50 of these individual cupcake boxes (with a range of gourmet cupcakes!) were given out during the presentation of the concept, along with coffee in the Whisk coffee cups.
They were a great success, and everyone adored opening them and, of course, discovering and eating their cupcakes!
The box die was designed by myself, and a version of it can be found in my gallery

It's recycled and bio-degradable packaging, with enviro-friendly inks. Also, in Australia we DO have free recycling bins... O.o

oooo, I fully approve, we need more things like this in the world. Sucks, we have to pay for our bins here.

We pay for extra bins, but there are standard bins for households and also large public bins in carparks/shopping centres that you can use for recycling, and also disposing of old clothes/furniture/kitchenware etc that are then given to the needy

I have seen the donation bins. Rarely see a free recycling bin, sometimes in malls and stuff but they are scarce.

Are you really going to open a place like this? Because I think, even in this economy. Unless Australia has not been hit yet or at all. You guys could do really well with a little shop.

Believe me, I'd love to! I sometimes cater parties, but I work full-time in graphic design and don't have the time to open a little boutique store which is what I'd love to do!

Beautifully executed-- I love the polka dot motif, which works well with the shape of the font you've used for the name. My only critiques are this: the upturn of the K at the end of "whisk" looks like an "r", making the name seem to read "whiskr". Also, while the logo works very well on the packaging, the type does not seem to convey the same feeling and style printed alone on the receipt. Perhaps instead of the underline, somehow incorporating the polka dots into the logo would work better?
Overall, well thought out and nicely designed!

There's an entire series of cakemix tins and boxes that use an elaborate frame around the whisk logo, they would probably work better for the receipt!

Man, I wish I could buy stuff like this close to where I live. It looks amazing, and it would almost be a shame to eat the cupcake ... but only almost ...

AU$3.60 is less than a cup of coffee in any of the cafe districts!

Nice design - it makes you expect that what's inside will be high-quality in an old-fashioned, proper-cake-shop way, which should be good for sales.

do you print this in paper and then glue it to the box/fork/cups or you just have the box/fork/cups printed?
im just in my first year of graphic design and i have to glue the designs to the bought blank box...

This was a final year project, and the presentation is expected to be a lot better than 1st year cut and paste The is an original packaging net, with all patterns/logos etc printed on before it was cut and folded.
The printing on the forks/stickers etc is using a gocco instant screen printer, they're expensive but a great investment for a graphic design student!

I want... T_T (I'd love to have one of those cute little boxes and untie the little ribbon and stuff - and the stuff in the cup looks good, too)
It kind of reminds me of a place called Java City that was on my campus. Although, they didn't really have cupcake boxes... but, the prices are similar. ^_^"
How easy is it to get the cupcake out of the box?
