Before Jack the Ripper terrorized London back in 1888, Spring-Heeled Jack was tormenting citizens with his claws and devilish appearance. In London, his name was associated with the Boogeyman, and was used to scare children into behaving themselves, with parents claiming Spring-Heeled Jack would leap up to peer into their bedroom windows at night and take them away. He was known to perform wicked pranks, crash carriages and scare women into dangerous fits, some being severely wounded by his sharp metallic claws, as he tore their clothing away to explose their flesh. There are even reports of people dying due to his attacks. He was capable of belching out blue and white phosphorus flames and making extremely high, superhuman leaps, jumping across building and over high walls, which he often did to make his escape after attacking his victims. During his reign of mischievouse terror, he was sighted throughout many London locations, even being seen as far north as Liverpool and Scotland.
