Description
First of all, this is not done, but I wanted to get it online cause it'll be a while before it gets finished. I've got a whole lot of other stuff I need to start working on before I can get back to this. Anyway, this is a self-portrait of me making the Magnum face Derek Zoolander makes in the movie Zoolander. I worked from a paused screen shot of the movie and a photo I took of myself making the face. There's still a lot of work I need to do in the face to give it more form, and the hair looks too fake around the edge of it, but I'm gonna fix all this when I get the chance. For some reason I painted this in oil on a masonite board at a whole lot bigger size than I needed to work, and the painting is a couple inches longer than a standard poster. So this is just a taste of what this will painting will look like.
