I spent all week on this piece! This is every pairing that appears/is hinted at in the The Chronicles of the Crisis, though Setesh and Qebehsenuef only really get together in its sequel The Neverending Epilogue.

I also come bearing important news; if you're interested in the future of TCotC, scroll down to the end -- there's an important announcement at the end of the description!

Pairings in order:

Keni'chi and Solaris... But Keni'chi looks noticeably different than what you might recognize! That's another big plot element I don't necessarily want to reveal just yet, but I'll still show you the "new and improved" Keni that we see at the end of TCotC. I should probably note that he is also a she in this picture -- these two get along great as friends for most of the story, though once Keni goes through this "big change," that relationship moves towards a cute little "puppy love" romance.

Sebastian (Pamu) ends up alone at the end of TCotC. He sacrificed his life and half his soul to try and bring back the guy of his dreams, but things just don't work out. He gets dragged through hell and back (literally and figuratively), and he makes it out alive in the end... But he's still alone. Or is he?

Sora and Fantasia! Sora might've lost his leg, but he hasn't lost his sass or confidence. He has a thing for the doctor lady that amputated his leg, actually! Fantasia thinks he's cute, though she still has to run check-ups on him to make sure his prosthetic is working out okay.

Ace is the dad/granddad of the group, so he's just happy to see everyone getting along okay. He's also asexual, and he doesn't display an interest in forming any romantic relationships... But that doesn't mean he's never had a romantic partner. Is that a wedding ring on his finger?

Ophois and Shen are Solaris' parents. They don't have a ton of screen time, but they're still sweeties -- they were really happy together.

Isis and Osiris are a great pair -- a perfect royal power couple, actually! Isis is incredibly devoted to Osiris -- I mean, she literally sewed the guy back together! Osiris himself feels pretty lucky to have her -- she's had his back through thick and thin, and she's a wonderful ruler. They balance each other out pretty well, honestly -- Osiris can be a little too soft, and Isis can be a little too stern... But they both mean well, and they understand each other better than most of the other deities!

Set and Nephthys have had their rocky patches (they got divorced once during the Osiris myth) and have both made their fair share of mistakes, but they still have each other after everything is said and done. While Nephthys definitely has to yank Set's ear and keep him from getting into too much trouble, she's still the only one who can reliably get the dark deity to simmer down after a bad day. Set of course is over the moon with Nephthys and affectionately calls her "Rose" -- like the "desert rose" of the Adenium genus, which he's handing to her here.

Horus and Hathor are pretty sweet together. You have the embodiment of "sex, drugs, and rock n' roll" paired with an easily-flustered, all-too-polite prince. They are just too cute, I really love exploring their relationship. Hathor here is doing the stereotypical "walk like an Egyptian" pose to tease him, while Horus is about to nervously point out that they, in fact, don't walk like that... Uuunntil Sekhmet, Hathor's alter ego, decides she wants a piece of the action too!

Set and Horus... Oh boy. This one is extremely popular on my Discord server! These two idiots had a "fling" back in the day (before Horus was married to Hathor, and while Set and Nephthys were going through their divorce) and are just as likely to punch each other's lights out as they are to get plastered and laugh the night away. While they're no longer "together," they still maintain an odd love-hate relationship that frequently oscillates between joke-flirting and bickering like children. Horus kind of views it as his responsibility to keep Set from causing too much trouble in the Duat, while Set is just happy to get a rise out of the falcon god.

Ra and Ma'at are older than dirt. Literally -- they created the dirt! These two are kind of like the "grandpa and grandma" of the Duat, if you think about it. Ma'at is currently incorporeal and only manifests herself as a feather these days, while Ra still maintains a corporeal form; Ra definitely misses Ma'at's physical presence, but he can feel her in the wind -- and, maybe one day, she'll manifest again... Or, maybe he'll eventually become incorporeal too. Who knows? He's lived this long -- he can wait a little longer to find out.

And then there's my personal favorite, Setesh (Pamu/Sebastian) and Qebehsenuef! Setesh is just Sebastian's deity name, but since I grouped the two together with the other deities, I thought calling him "Setesh" was more appropriate than "Sebastian" in this picture. Of course, that doesn't stop me from calling them "Qeb 'n Seb" on the side, haha. This pairing doesn't really happen until The Neverending Epilogue, but I wanted an excuse to draw my favorite boys together -- plus, I mean, it'd be kind of sad if I'd only included the image of a beat-up Sebastian, right? Anyway, these two are awkward and are kind of still figuring themselves out, but Qeb's trying his best to "impress" the withdrawn and bitter Sebastian. Seb's not too sure what to think!

Oh, and before you go -- we're getting really far into development with TCotC. I've hinted that I've been working on a little "project" for you guys behind the scenes, and, well... My Valentine's Day gift to you is telling you what it is! You see... The comic is officially starting up again! I am going to be releasing more promotional images and a "Countdown to TCotC" very soon in the future, so stay tuned!
