Description
My new activity (one of the reasons I've been so absent from DA lately) is a weekly Dungeons and Dragons RPG- currently, we're playing the Star Wars D&D version. This is my character! She is awesome and I love her.
Anyone who has seen my artwork knows that I don't do anthro subjects. Never. So this was a unique challenge for me! When I finally got a chance to draw out my character, I couldn't help thinking to myself "you just had to pick a nonhuman species, didn't you?" But I'm really happy how it turned out- Miss Mi is exactly as I pictured her. And it was fun to do a project that is not exactly ART but still is fun art, and I used that as a chance to keep it a little more abstract and sketchy-painty looking.
A little trivia for those unfamiliar with the game and species: Farghuls tend to love riddles, word jokes, etc. That explains the horrible puns that she's fond of using (explains it, doesn't excuse it), and her name is most purposefully a play on words. Say the first part of the last name like you just stubbed your toe, and you've got it!

Entirely painted in Photoshop, with a few model and cat photos used as visual references.
Wookieepedia was also an invaluable reference because I was not really into Star Wars before starting the campaign so I knew/know next to nothing about the characters and worlds. One thing: I know Farghuls usually are tawny colored. I know, I know. And I started with the intent to make her that color, but in my mind her fur was grey every time I pictured her and there was no getting around that. So there will just have to be some mystery surrounding that anomaly.
I incorporated this stock in the background:

Impressive! Especially after having read your description.
My first thought when seing this was like 'Wow, such a long tail!' xD
Anyway, the eyes are remarkable. The yellow color is really well-chosen. Speaking of which, I like the background a lot. It's not as boring as a plain-colored one might have been, but not distracting either.

Thank you! I hesitated a bit about the tail, but then I figured the scale of the average cat is that their tail is at least equal to their body length (sometimes longer/shorter), so with that in mind, I figured it was okay. But yeah- I wondering about it being too long. That's okay though: extra balance for her axe attack!
(and I was so damn proud of the eyes! lol thanks for commenting on those )

Yep, definitely a good choice!
(By the way, when talking about the tail, I didn't mean to say it's TOO long, it seems rather fitting to me)

Nice job on the face - it makes her relatable, yet still alien enough to be alien.
