- September 2021, Centennial Airport (KAPA) -

I love working where I do; so many wonderful winged visitors come to the hangar. For nearly a week, we were joined by a wing of the Commemorative Air Force. Among the aircraft were the B-17 Flying Fortress "Texas Raiders" and the only flying SB2C Helldiver!

Shortly after the two bombers arrived, a stormed rolled in. We didn't have time to get Raiders inside before it started sheeting rain. There was so much water in the air that we couldn't see beyond the ramp. The runway and opposing hangars disappeared, leaving a magnificent aircraft alone against a gray void. I only wish I had a better camera.
