"Niles, where did you ever find that old thing? And where the hell did you put my good tie?"

Early on a summer morning, Alba has been running around the airfield, attempting to settle a rambunctious fleet. When the sun comes up, she dusts herself off and returns to her aircraft. No matter what his peers are doing, she can usually count on him to keep her jacket, hat, and tie clean within the flight deck. Today, however, the jet presents her with a relic of a short-lived old uniform.

I heard something interesting about United's 2019 uniform debut, regarding the purple ties. Apparently, some of the men in the pilot union nicknamed it the "Purple princess tie," and refused to wear it. I think that's a very silly reaction to have over a color. Purple is fashionable and not gender specific. But it was a weird choice for a brand which was otherwise all blue.

This drawing was extra difficult, as my computer ran an update and was stuck at minimum brightness for a few weeks... But it was worth it to see Niles in the New United Livery for the first time!
