Description
September 2017The Boeing 787, my favorite family of aircraft.
I had the luxury of flying on two United 787-8s in 2013, and I was later treated to seeing this lovely 787-9 at Aviation Day. The event is hosted in United's hangar at DEN and is intended to inspire high school students to join the filed of aviation. I was there representing MSU Denver's Aviation and Aerospace Department. This poor jet had run into a bird and had just received a new nosecone, hence why she was in the hangar.

I've had equally close encounters with a 777-300ER and a 737Max-8. The GE-90 on the 777 is truly enormous! I have yet to post pictures of the latter, but should do so here in the next few days. These events are such incredible experiences, to be poking around these amazing aircraft. I count myself lucky to have had the opportunity to staff these events. My heart skips a beat or two when I consider that as an airline pilot, this perspective could be an average workday.

Thank you I really appreciate that. It's still early, but this exchange might just be the highlight of my day.

Many welcomes, Ma'am.
They say that if a person wants something enough, they will eventually get it. The mind creates the reality in which it lives. Your desire to hold the yoke is strong, therefore, you will eventually wrap your hands around it. And with feet on the rudder pedals, you are sure to hold her steady, of that I have no doubt.
