Something I did up in OC last night. Sol was making these AWESOME Toadette-ish pictures of a female Toad, and Kewing made a cute bust shot of Toadette, and they had made it look so fun that I wanted to make one too!Drawing felt kind of hard to do yesterday. e_e But she was fun to draw once things started rolling.
I was listening to the Super Mario RPG song: "Beware the Forest's Mushrooms" by Yoko Shimomura, while makin' this. That song kinda shaped how the picture looked, since the song feels kind of like.. gloomy, adventurous, whimsical and stuff.

I know why she is lost: I recognize the background as the infamous Forest Of Illusions from Super Mario World, the most riddling section of the whole game.

That song name you listed, is that the theme song for the Forest Maze? If so, that's like... my favorite song from Super Mario RPG. I play it on piano on occassion. XD

Yep! That's the song that plays in the forest maze. You can play it on a piano? That's excellent, I've always wanted to be able to play VGM with real instruments too, but I can't. x) Have you ever recorded any of your music?

No but I'm thinking about recording some of it on video. I do it on synthesizer and I just load a MIDI and play along on whatever channel I feel like playing on. I can't play the entire song, just the first part of the melody until it gets into the more gloomy/mysterious sounding part of it. I play all kinds of songs too, like Mega Man. XD

I was in the Royal Conservatory of Music in Canada for a great deal of my life. Although, music is actually only a fraction of what I actually do... I do quite a lot of stuff, and being a musician is not one of my goals... it's just a hobby. Maybe doing some remixing or stuff, yeah, or doing some touch-ups and sound engineering for my game development company but I don't know. It's just fun to do.
And of course, I will send some videos and stuff over whenever I record them. ^^ I'm not amazing, but I guess it would be interesting-ish to see. There are a lot of other songs I play, some of the main ones being Armored Armadillo from Mega Man X and Gravity Man from Mega Man 5. I can also play the Ghouls and Ghost main level theme. It's all good stuff.

I like Wave Man too but I haven't played that one yet. =/ I do have a MIDI of it though to refer to it if I ever get in the mood to play it. Gravity Man is a really hard song to play, I can't play the really fast parts on it yet.

Wave Man makes me think back when I was little. XD His song I mean. Even though all those songs in that game make me think of that (it was my first Mega Man game) Wave Man had that port-towny feeling and that's where I lived at the time. It's a fitting memory.

They're like little bobbles at the end of her pigtails. It's hard to tell that they are at that viewing angle since I didn't attach them to her hair, I see.

Yes, it's like Pchat, but you can only have up to 3 other people in there besides yourself when you start the network function. In that way it's inferior to Pchat. But it has much funner tools to use than Pchat does.

Randomly enough, I was just playing Paper Mario 2 (the only game I've seen her in-I'm not that big on Mario) and I just had that scene where she notifies the player that they won't be seeing her anymore. Talk about a coincidence...

Bro, she's so awesome and fun to look at. I love her expression, it's really amusing X). It's like she's confused as to where she is but not really worried. Pose looks nices looks, as so does the coloring here. It's simpler but incredibly effective. I also like how you did her hat thingy, it looks really stylish : D.
You say you had a hard time doing it, but this pic doesn't really prove me that D: . It's good that you got into it in the end, it definitely shows you had fun with it. I only wish I could have stayed there for longer (I didn't even see her being created ;_; ), that last session was getting really awesome by the minute. Nice job bro!
