Description Messing around with the princess Peach and princess Daisy designs to come up with warped nemesis versions of the ladies.
Wapeach and Wadaisy. = D

It's hard to come up with outfit designs for them! I don't think Wadaisy's is one that I would actually call a finalized outfit design for her, tho.

Oooh, I've got Ape Escape 1. It was pretty alright! Terrible, horrible voice acting in the North American version, tho. ._.

Ape Escape 3 was my personal fave. Controls were crisper, and you could transform into a magical girl! Who floats and shoots giant laser beams! XD Who am I to complain?

Also I loved the way the characters in Ape Escape 2- Jimmy and Natalie, I think- had the same voices as Ash and Misty from Pokemon.

Ah, my ex-girlfriend loved those games... I was fairly bad at catching them.

Aw, that sucks. They were like my favourite platforming games ever!

I'm sure with a little more practice I could've done it... Partially I had other things on my mind at the time. You know, girlfriend stuff. That seemed more interesting than catching monkeys lol

Ahah, well I never played the Sly Cooper or R & C games, but it makes me feel warm inside to hear that you've played some recent video games. = D

What was it about the advent of 3D graphic games that turned you away from them? Or did personal things going on in your life take precedence over video gaming maybe?

I'm not sure really... I had played some of the newer 3 dimensional games then out on the first playstation and was fine with those. Mostly, I was probably just having a hard time letting go of the side scrolling Mario games that I had come to love (with exception to Mario 2 which was crap in my opinion). That and the controls just seemed to be getting overly complicated (dude, a, b, start, select and directionals were good enough for me). I have been contemplating getting a PSP recently though. My friend had me play a little bit of God of War and it was fantabulous (note: I also bought the first God of War for PS2 but quickly realized it was waaayyyy beyond my level). Holding the PSP reminded me of warm, fuzzy memories holding the Sega Game Gear playing Sonic the Hedge Hog.

Hm, I see! Nothing wrong with liking the 2D style over the 3D games. I prefer 2D over 3D myself, most of the time. I still play my NES games from time to time. Once the games went 3D, back in the day, the gameplay mechanics had to evolve too, to enhance that 3D feel, so there was need to give the game controllers more buttons.

Getting a PSP seems like a good idea since it doesn't have all them fancy digital joystick things and stuff.
Oh yah, and the Nintendo DS is pretty cool too, there's a lot of fun 2D and pseudo 3D games on there!

Of course, what with finals and all. n.n
That reminds me, do you think these "wa" characters are even human? Or maybe they are something called "wahumans" or "warmans".

elazuls-core In reply to SutibaruArt [2008-04-25 00:04:00 +0000 UTC]

That's something I have not thought about, yet! They seem to be humans, tho. But where do they come from, like, are they cloned or from an alternate dimension, could Wario have been from the real world and knew Mario and Luigi before the bros. went to the Mushroom Kingdom? (I think that I read this situation was the canon one, somewhere, long ago. Nintendo Power magazine's comics, maybe?).
...
Wapeople might have their own alternate Warioverse, too.

According to Super Mario Adventures, Mario and Wario were childhood friends and used to play cowboys and robbers together. Wario was always the robber that Mario would catch. Over the years he grew more and more upset until SML2 (in which they mentioned was almost 20 years later hinting their age). The story was made by a japanese artist hired by nintendo. So it is not perfect but sounds close.

Yah! That must have been what I read about, years ago.
Those comics weren't always true to the games, tho. Like from what I've heard, Peach was a bad*ss in those comics, but in the games, she's reserved and getting kidnapped a lot. xD

i'm waiting for the day Peach gets to reveal that all along she's been a secret Penguin fan and reveals that the Mushroom Kingdom's palace army is in fact her umbrella. sure, it'll never happen, but it's a mental image i'll always cherish ^.^

i do like the picture, though it took me an age to work out that Wapeach was wearing harem-pants. I actually much prefer Wadaisy's 'ballgown of Doom'.

Oh yes, her personality in that comic. Wow, much better than the games. She actually goes after bowser to kick his ass. But she doesn't get to. :<
