Gathering my thoughts on a sentry design that got fleshed out while the Saxxy awards were going on. My earliest sketch of a quad mount sentry dates a year ago so this has been a loooong time coming.The design borrows from quad-mount AA guns, bofors guns and donkey pumps.

I can see this as being a new sentry in game with less damage output but more health and/or longer range

Better a "fire sentry", but the lv3 is a bit exaggerated will be slightly modified, I have ideas of how it can be and if we give all the credit to the author of the image in which we are commenting

Huge jump into havering lots of huge guns quickly (which is technically over kill more fitting for wave 666 in mvm)
But the concepts are solid for using different guns on different chassis

Man the sentry (and other PDA stuff) is the only thing in TF2 without cosmetics. Valve should add something like this.

Are you still interested in modelling this ?
I love AA guns like this. More punch but lower rate of fire, at least for levels 2 and 3. Level 3 could alternate a pair of barrels firing.

The lvl3 one reminds me of the chinese Type 95 mobile AA because of the bad-ass quad autocannons/machineguns

I like the look, would make an awesome tanky-style sentry, more health, high damage burst, slow shooting, huge knockback perhaps? Perhaps the rockets would spread out at increasing distances, like a conical helix of small rockets.

Oh my god, finally. I've been looking for a sentry concept that works and incorporates the donkey pump/drinking bird/etc into the design.
My one complaint is the barrel. I've never liked the barrel on a bofors gun, they're all narrow and awkward. I like a beefy, mannly design on my automated murder machines, like an air-cooled barrel , or a water cooled barrel .
Looks pretty solid, really distinct, though. Like it a lot.

I'll look into the barrels in more detail at some point - the legs have been getting the most attention due to needing to figure out how they unfold and position that when I did this concept I kinda realised there's some elements of the top half I haven't really looked into.

Understand, of course, that my "complaints" are largely personal aesthetic preferences. I like the alternate designs I referenced because they're not currently represented in TF2, fit the era, and look beefy.
Your design, as always, calls back to an important feature of your work I consider to be superb: nearly every design you've released looks like it could have been an alternate design for the thing its replacing at launch. They have unique silhouettes, but for the most part they could have been in the game at launch and nobody would think too much of it.
