Just a few more pictures of my new turtle showing off.He has a warm shell which is removable, as is his hat and scarf. He's made from moss green cordory, fleece, tweed and tartan. He also stands all on his own.

yeah, orignally this was acutally going to be a dinosaur, but then it start to look more turtle-like so I went ahead and made a shell

well, for this one I drew the basic pattern, then cut that out for the two main sides of the turtle. using the material i had cut I measured the underbelly shape and cut that out. then it was just a matter of sowing those 3 sections together, that was the basic shape. after that it got a bit more fiddly but its the same basic method of making a pattern then adjusting as you go along. hope that was some use...
