Description I've been asked many times how we made our kamael wings. I really didn't plan to write a tutorial EVER, but after 50th questions I gave up.
That’s not the only or best way to make wings, but there were demands, so I comply

Wings made by Desler (ErikDesler ) and me (ElenaLeetah ).

So, I'm curious, if you wanted to do a pair of wings, would you make them meet in the middle? And also would you cover up the back then? I'm trying to help my boyfriend with a cosplay and he really LOVES these wings.

If you were to look at the space between actual bird wings, you'll see much shorter feathers. Probably, you could use foam and make small layers (no bigger than four inches in length), shape them, and glue them in place in the same manner as the wings. Laying a piece of fabric between them, and then glueing on the short layers would work, would be my guess. Sorry that this is a really late reply, but I figure it could still help.

Don't know, I won't think of it unless I'd need a pair of foam wings, which I seriosly doubt.

ElenaLeetah In reply to tarinalove [2013-02-04 21:37:51 +0000 UTC]

Thank you
Yep, it can be used for Angewoman, her wings way easier.
As for the cost... It was really cheap. Around 20-30$ altogether, I think.

Hi this is an amazing tutorial and I thank you for making this. I have one question though, and sorry if it has been asked, but how durable are the wings/"feathers"? Also do they 'flow' when you walk or are they rigid?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

ElenaLeetah In reply to MixSuGn0iz [2013-02-01 09:02:51 +0000 UTC]

You're welcome.
They do flow when we move swiftly. See here: [link] [link] [link]

Ask ~ErikDesler , the construction of harness belongs to him, and he thought of doing tutorial of it at least.

Fabric?.. For the base, you mean? Don't remember, something we found in the closet, it doesn't matter, it wont show. It just has to be thick.
