Behind the Scenes photo of me animating Captain Atom running against a bluescreen (really just a sheet of blue paper) to simulate a tracking shot. Thanks to some help from a friend who added a moving digital background, I found this was easier than physically moving the camera or the set to achieve the movement. Since the floor wouldn’t be shown to sell the digital background, I decided it would work better to just not show the legs at all. I thought about animating his legs to make him run in place, but found that the movement looked smoother if I just stuck his torso on a mount of sticky-tac and bent him forward and backward as I animated his arms swinging to simulate the running.
