Description I used a bit of perspective trickery to simulate a Bird’s Eye view in this shot from my latest installment of “The Adventures of Captain Atom.” I mounted the solid baseplate of the set on some SNOT (studs not on top) bricks and putty to position it at 90 degrees so that from the camera’s POV, the bluescreen mounted on the wall would look like it was at floor level. It was easier to do it this way as I could achieve a greater distance between the balcony set and the bluescreen; otherwise I would have had to build the balcony set another twenty stories or so. The hard part was animating the minifigure to walk up the plate without falling down as the only thing holding him up was the clutch power of his feet on the studs he was standing on, which diminished when he had one foot out in front of the other.
