Description
Here’s a hallway set I built for Chapter 4 of The Adventures of Captain Atom. It was hard enough animating a figure walking in such a narrow space, but I decided to animate almost a dozen enemy soldiers running after Captain Atom simultaneously and had to make them turn the corner one after the other in a way that looked smooth (which is hard since Lego figures can only move in one direction at a time on a baseplate). I also wanted it to be a single take where the soldiers would all walk into frame to reveal just how many there were, inspired by a shot in Kingsman: The Secret Service. It was a very difficult shot to do and I made a few animation mistakes, but fortunately most of those are covered up by a transition to the next scene.
