Description Hi,

Here are the first 20 faces I drew for the 100-head challenge publicized by Ahmed Aldoori a couple weeks ago. Even though I’m always doing studies alongside my drawings, regarding specific anatomical parts of the human body (or composition, or light, etc.), based on what I feel I need the most, it’d been maybe two years since I did my last extensive study not related to any artwork. I first saw Ahmed Aldoori’s video about the hands, but I was drawing the Comedian’s Taboo at that time and didn’t want to commit to anything else before I was done. He then released the head challenge and it was a perfect opportunity for me to take some time to study what in my opinion is the most important feature of the human body in comics, given how often there’s only heads in a panel. It’s supposed to be a ten-day challenge but I’m going to take as long as I want and enjoy it freely.

Are you currently doing any art challenge?

I hope you like this first page and please feel free to comment

Really nice work, when I'm sketching I tend to gravitate towards faces and I always love seeing other people's faces. I think my favorite is number 4, I get the sense there's a story with that one, he looks like an old ship captain or something. Looking forward to seeing the rest!

Thank you I also like seeing others' anatomy sketches! I agree with you, number 4 (and number 16) are my favorite faces.

How much time on average does each face take you?

I'd say between 15 and 25 minutes. I may have reached 30 minutes on some faces but not among these 20.

Oh okay gotcha. I'd say that's about how long I spend on mine, although mine tend to gravitate towards a more cartoony style.

I love how diverse these heads are. The details in them are amazing, as well as the shading.

Thank you I'm trying to draw diverse people, as many different ages, races, expressions, angles as I can.
