Description
So, if Sonic can only have one power ring at a time in SatAM, how did he manage to pull 3 out of his backpack and save himself from the roboticizer in Doomsday Project?With plot device corrected, here's how things could have turned out.
I guess I just have a morbid fascination with the roboticizer.

I'm not too happy with how this came out, actually. I've been using different paper lately, and colored pencil keeps coming out really grainy. It's especially noticeable in darker areas, like the background. Maybe I should just go back to using smoother paper.

Hey, thanks! I like the Archie style too, but I figured roboticized, Sonic would look the same as everyone else in SatAM. And yeah, it was never outright said he could only have one ring at a time, but that's how I've always interpreted it.
Nothing fancy with the pencils, lol, just Crayola and Ticonderoga. I tried blending it somewhat, but it really was just the paper. It was my first time using a new sketchbook...I've learned to test things out first next time hahaha. It's really only the background that bothers me so much anyway.

There's a ton of emotion in this image. You can truly feel his pain-- not just from being roboticized-- but from a sense of failure.
I like the lighting as well. The background is a bit grainy from the paper, like you said. But it's not bad.
Has anyone asked Ben how he had more than one ring? I can't remember...
