Tried out the art program ArtRage, which emulates traditional painting in various different ways.
I had in mind the green flash when a soul is brought back from the dead in Pirates of the Caribbean. I didn't do it the exact same way though, as in the movie it's more a faint flash than a huge shockwave.

You know what? I wasn't thinking Pirates of the Caribbean when I first saw this. I thought, planetary explosion or a new star being formed, heck even a star itself. I'd love to see something like this but with some sort of space-scape or...
