Description
I was asked on tumblr on posing and gestures for characters! Posted it there and well it's about time to update my last tutorial/reference and here are some of my suggestions! Like I said on tumblr, please springboard from this. By no means should you follow this EXACT, totally practice it if you'd like. I made it pretty general because I work off from this. I change the line quality, style, etc. along the way. If you use a pose in particular just credit please?Β
That's about it, it's no problem for me if you use this because duh! I really hope it helps! There are some typos and mistakes because I made this in no less than an hour and pretty fast. If any questions, let me know!

It is true that your drawings have a great sense of motion and fluidity to them, and the curves help, no doubt. Thanks for sharing these tips with us!

This is great! I've been trying to implement this in my art - and I've also made it a point to make more impressionable silhouettes, especially with notable characters ^^

Y'know, I've been practicing gesture drawing lately to help with my pose and proportions. I was having my doubts about whether good artists actually used this type of sketching for their amazing final drawings. Thank you for reinforcing this technique for me and helping me see that my efforts are no in vane!

Oh man yeah a sketch that's loose ends up better because all the energy is there. A quick capture is more effective than overthinking it. t least, that's what works for me is the thing and no problem! Yeah try it out if you'd like !
