A lot of people seem to be having problems with timezone conversions. I hope this tutorial helps!If there are any problems, please let me know so I can improve it!
Edit: If DA doesn't have your country on the list, go to google and find out your timezone and another country which has the same timezone. Please don't ask me to figure it out for you. ^^

Sorry for the late response, I haven't been around for a bit.Β Can you see any cities on the list that are close to you?Β Find the one that's closest to you and then google it's time to see if it's on the same timezone as you.Β If it's a match, use that!

If Seattle isn't on the list of options in DA's timezones then it'd be best to check out google what Seattle's timezone is and if there are any cities that share the same timezone which are on the list of options in DA's timezones.

It's a roundabout way of dealing with the problem of your city not being on the list because if another city runs on the same timezone as you, it means they're running on the same time/clock as you.

From my knowledge, you're currently experiencing daylight savings so instead of UTC -6:00, it's UTC -5:00 as your timezone. Following that logic, you can use New York as your timezone for it as they're also -5:00 atm!

Sorry I should also mention that it might not be right if you're currently experiencing daylight savings. From my knowledge, pennsylvania is UTC /GMT -5 but with daylight savings it'll be UTC / GMT -4:00 so you'll just need to google a city that's the same timezone as that and on the dA list

Kansas City's timezone is CST so you should be okay if you put it to America/Mexico City as it's also another city that does CST. For more information, I recommend googling.

Well a bit of reading never hurt anyone. And if you can manage research for school assignments using the internet then I think you can manage research on the timezone for your city and other cities that have the same timezone.

Setting your timezone on DA isn't a must but it is helpful as it means that countdown clocks can be used accurately. Also timezones aren't that difficult to learn. It just takes a bit of time and googling. I'd recommend it if you ever want to visit/ring up another area of the world. (=
And I completey agree with you. How dare dA have their website according to their own timezone and not Central Standard Time.Β It's like they live in a city that doesnt have CST as their timezone! And to top it off, make us have adjustable timezone settings if we so wanted? Those topsy turvy bastards!

Uh, this hardly even helps me. Not EVERY CITY is on that retarded list. I wish there were simpler ways of saying what zone you're in. Central is mine. CST. But no, that's not on there.

Best suggestion I can give is to set it to another city which is on the list that does CST (a city near yours??) Did a quick browse and from my understanding America/Mexico City is another city that does CST too! (=Β
Most areas in DA seem to either use american or british timezones.Β America Central Standard Time is the equivilant of (Britain's) Greenwich Meantime of GMT-5 which means that it's 5 hours behind Britain's Standard/Average time.Β I'd recommend looking up timezone converters if you run into any big problems, there are some pretty nifty ones out there! (which I've never bothered to bookmark or I'd be linking you now, sorry ='D)
