I got inspired by Just-Jasper's art for the 28 Days of Commander Shepard meme and decided to give it a go myself.
This is the first one: Forget my Name

Haze Shepard was born and abandoned on Earth. Haze lived with her religious mother and father until she was 6 years old. Her parents baptized her in the hopes of the Lord protecting her from the devil's influence (the effects of the eezo her mother had been exposed to during pregnancy), but when her biotics started showing her parents believed she had been claimed by Satan. She was called it or "the thing" and spent most of her early childhood avoiding her parents abuse until the day her father drove her into the city and told her to wait for them. She waited. For 10 years, going back to the same spot every day until she realized they wouldn't be coming back for her.

She picked up the name Haze after the brand on the tatty shoes she wore when she joined with her first street gang and has used it ever since. She took the name Shepard from the character -a preacher- in one of her favourite childhood stories. Nobody knows Haze's real name, not even Haze herself because she can't remember it.
