Are all visible for anyone to see -if one knows how to interpret tattoos that is.
People rarely see her tattoos since she's mostly seen in her admiral's outfit when on duty. This is #25 on 28 Days of Shepard: "My Body is a Canvas: Ink, scars and piercings? Tell us all about Shepard’s markings."
I've been dying to ink my Shepard and finally got around to do it. So now I have a model and don't have to paste and try to re-size a real tattoo from a Google picture.
Haze sees herself as a bit of a monster, something vile that is necessary to beat the Reapers. Haze grew up in the rough Underworld of a future London and still wears the scars from that time of her life. It taught her to be cold and distant and to do whatever was necessary to survive. At the same time as she doesn't like to talk about her past, she is still proud of parts of it and she wears her tattoos with pride. It is part of her history, of who she is.
The tattoo that means the most to her is the red M.
I don't own anything. Well, possibly my Shepard's background details, but that's about it.

I've got one more question. I see that spider web tattoo go beyond the line where hand is linked to the shoulder. How do you make it coincide so perfectly on the seam?

Oh, that was all trial and error. Just kept reloading the texture in XPS and moving it bit by bit until it connected.

Tatooed Shepards rock! I really love her and her story. And BTW, I really like how you linked them to her Welsh origin and her character. I was too lazy to look for the tatoos with the deep meaning for my Shep, so I simply chose ones I liked and liked their very general meaning and ones that suit her (and mine actually, lol) character.)

Yeah it did take some time to find the tattoos.
I think I spent a day just editing the texture and creating
suitable tattoos from different brushes and pieces of
flash from the net. It was pretty easy though considering
how fleshed out I have her in my head for the fanfic.

Sure! Here's one of the pics of her I've recently made fav.me/d7kg6jm This is one of the models Padme4000 made for me for XNALara. I have only 2 renders by far, this one and one in the closed outfit, so the tatoos aren't well-visible. I'm gonna correct that with time. 
I can say putting tatoos was pretty hard for me at times, and I have some symmetric ones, so it was hard to adjust them to some outfits. Now, after about more than 20 outfits I've generally put tatoos on, I improved my skill a bit.

So I have a question, how did you manage to make different
tattoos on each arm? Because when I open up the texture
files and edit them there's only one arm I can edit which means
Haze's left arm sleeve actually turns out on her right arm as well
only kind of backwards.

Nope, unfortunately I can't have tatoos. At least be careful with them when I'll want to have them. And I get bored really quickly with one picture.
I haven't tried to put tatoos directly into XNALara. But if the principle with the textures is generally the same as for the outfits in-game, then, actually, it all depends on the outfit. If you have the texture of only one arm in the .diff file of the outfit's textures, then you will have the same tatoos on both arms. Nilin jacket mod for ME3 could serve as an example. sta.sh/01msv93p30y4 As you can see, there is only one tatoo on the arm texture. This texture is shared by both arms. If you have the outfit with texture for two arms like the default underwear texture sta.sh/06pmuxcrsll you can have different tatoos on different arms.

Oh, I love tattoos and I totally loved giving Haze proper tattoos.
Always really liked the thought of a heavily tattooed Shepard.

I miss my Shepard's scars. Next time I might try to edit the texture to get some scars in the picture.
