Excellent composition! You've managed once again to capture that "magazine feel"! 
Can't make up my mind on which articles I'd like to read... They all sound interesting, but if I had to pick two of them then I'd probably start with reading Liara's interview and then move to hear Javik's answers!

I honestly can't pick my favorite headline on this cover. They are all too funny and sound just like the ones you see in the other glamor magazines.
I have to agree with Ren that the ladies could be brightened up a bit due to the dark colors of the background. Their posing is perfect and I like the little star burst effects you put on the Omni tool and chess piece. And it looks like the orange glow from the Omni tool and chess piece reflect just right off of Liara and Sammy.

I saw this in my feed and at a cursory glance was just sort of "cute."
But now that I've really looked at it up close, I'm surprised at how much I appreciate this. You really nailed the font designs of magazines on article headlines. I really like the white, blue, orange and pink palette on the type. I love the copy, each one is really interesting and just silly/realistic enough to feel legit (I want to read some of these articles).
And I love Sam's holographic chess piece
I do crave a little more lighting on the ladies since the overall palette is pretty dark. But there are so many elegant little details in their poses and clothing textures especially on Liara.
As a professional designer, I say: Very well done!

as well add some light to it.

Well (from a practical standpoint) if you ever wanted to print this, the dark black pants on the rich blue background would be problematic. Dark colors are a nightmare to print, orange and browns being the worst.
However, one relatively easy way to give the characters a little more prominence would be to add a little more orange highlight from their respective omni-tools/omni-chess piece on their clothing/faces. So along the lapel of Sam's jacket and a hint of color on her white shirt might add some color from the chess piece (and, depending on how bright the light source is, she might need a line of highlight along her opposite arm's bicep and in her hair). Liara has a nice halo around her Omni-tool and on her arm sleeve, so some lines of light along the belts of her torso, jacket lapels and some bigger hits of color in the areas you've already got on her chest could look nice. (If you're a real sucker for punishment, thin lines following the hexagon texture of her jacket might look cool as well)
Again, totally up to you. You might dig in to the piece and find the highlighting gets too distracting/tedious. As of right now, the focal points of your piece are: Liara and Sam's faces, their Omni-items (mainly Liara's sweet omni-tool), and then the type (starting with COMBAT ARMOUR). Which is good balance in terms of design because your eye starts in the middle, then goes to the left and works its way around in a counter-clockwise circle.
