The colour scheme is very fitting and the lava effect is decent. I especially like the effect on the base of the hand as it reaches out of the lava.
I'd advise you though to experiment and variate the shape of the texture to emulate the effect better as lava is a thicker liquid substance. Try to blend the colours in the pattern of magma in the hands in order for the darker colours not to be too prominent. I'd also like to advise you to use a darker colour scheme for the sky to accent the atmosphere better.
A suggestion for aesthetic is try to create a magma effect around the fingertips as they contact on the rocks. It would emphasize the threathening appearance of the being.
It looks good for an experiment.

I stumbled on a trick by accident. No, they are not technically glowing, it's a trick of colors. I made the lava in a similar way, and I hope to exploit the heck out of that trick some day
