Whilst Lucy was on her way back to the Death Star from her mission. Her father had not been sat at the Death Star doing nothing. He had decided to hunt down and capture his most successful Padawan. Someone who Padme had said was one of the most loyal Jedi she had ever seen. If she could bring her to his side then paired with his daughter and her seemingly growing army, then his rule would be absolute and he could begin plans to remove Palpatine permanently from play.

He entered his personal ship and set course for a planet called Nianjay. It was located approximately two days travel away from the Death Star so he had time to ponder his former Padawan. Ashoka.

She was loyal to him and him to her, they battled both rebel Sith Lords and bounty hunters and ensured the Jedi prospered. She knew Padme and got on really well with her and helped her harness the force energy she had to help her with her pregnancy with his two children. It really hurt him when she listened to the lies Obi-Wan told her and now, he would beat her into submission and make her listen to his side so she could then make a proper decision.

Vader arrived on the planet and it took his breath away. It was a mixture of lush jungle and a bustling metropolis all rolled into one. He would need to see about this planet becoming a protectorate of the Sith as it had potential to grow and become a valuable planet member of the empire.

He spent a few hours walking through the local city when his force senses ping. A force signature he hadn’t felt for many years. He immediately locked onto it and began his search for his Jedi prey.

Ashoka ran, she knew Vader had felt her presence and had to make a run for it. She sprinted down alleyways and over walls and into what she thought was a museum. She managed to find a room that was covered in a strange substance that seemed to mask force presences. Maybe she could hide out here and get away before Vader found her. She checked her pockets and cursed. She had left one of her lightsabers back on her ship so she only had the one on her. How could she fight Vader with one lightsaber?

Darth Vader however had no problem finding Ashoka. The force dampening substance was nothing he couldn’t overcome and he managed to locate and find his prey. He had his troopers block all exits and entrances and then he entered the museum. He made it to the floor Ashoka was on and he stopped he used the force to move the door she was hiding behind and he threw her onto the floor. Ashoka was shocked, how did he find her, never mind. She had a fight to win.

Ashoka activated her lightsaber and charged at Darth Vader. She parried and blocked his moves and he blocked hers. They went backwards and forwards for at least ten minutes with both of them using the force to fling objects at each other and the surrounding area in an attempt to trip one of them up. Ashoka managed to land a deep cut on Vader’s right arm as well as damaging his helmet. That however had big consequences for her.

Vader used the force and disarmed her of her lightsaber. He then force pushed her hard into the wall behind and pinned her to it. He then used the force to throw Ashoka around the room causing her to bleed and bruise all over her body until she couldn’t get up anymore. He walked towards her downed form and summoned her lightsaber to him. He activated it and then pointed it at her. Ashoka just let out a big sigh and turned towards him.

“You win Anakin. Please just make my death quick and painless.”

Vader just tilted his head and moved over to her. He then gently picked her up using the force and looked her in the eyes.

“And why my dear Ashoka would I kill you, hmm. No what I have planned for you will make use of your tremendous skill that Padme and myself saw years ago. All I ask is that you watch these memories I’m going to transform to you and judge me then. Do I have your word?” Vader finished

Ashoka just nodded, she couldn’t do anything else and opened her mind to the memories. What she saw changed everything, she saw the manipulations by both the Jedi and Sith, she saw how they twisted the man she thought of as her adopted father into the man she had been twisted into believing was evil. She saw him reuniting with his now daughter and felt his pride when he saw his now granddaughter. It all got a bit too much for Ashoka and she broke down.

“I’m so sorry Anakin, I’m so sorry.”

Vader just looked at her and held out his hand. Ashoka took it and he then pulled her in for a hug. He then used the force to project a thought into her mind. A thought she never thought she would hear.

“I forgive you my daughter”

Ashoka just hugged him tighter and asked him how she could make it right. Vader just said three words that would change the Jedi-Sith war forever.

“Come with me”

Vader used his ship’s teleportation system and transported all his clone troopers, Ashoka and himself back to his ship. He took the ship into space and set a course for the Death Star. Change was coming and he was going to lead it.
