Description Flygon are some of the most interesting pokemon. Their relationships are uncertain, and no one knows whether they're closer to saurian pokemon, draconian pokemon, or bug pokemon, but Flygon seem to have features from all of them. They start out as burrowing Earth Trappers, then they evolve to a form reminescent of a giant dragonfly, and finally they evolve powerful limbs for walking and for grasping things easily with another object other than their mouths. Their wings can beat at a speed faster than sound and produce a vibrating sound, but some Flygon are known to use their wings in a fashion a dragon or a bird would, by just beating them to achieve lift, instead of just hovering around.

I love this!! I really like how you portray Flygone as rather bug like, but still keep it dragon like. A bit of crit: the way that you can't see both of the anteni on flygon's head gives one the impression that he only has one antena. This is a beautiful picture! I love it! Keep up the great work!

its behind the other one. they are kinda stiff, and you shouldn't be able to see the other one if you are looking at it straight from the side.

Yes, Flygons are very interesting. Which is why I've got one on my team.

Not to mention being invulnerable to electricity helps too!

EmperorDinobot In reply to Juptile [2008-03-02 09:30:09 +0000 UTC]

No kidding! When I use dragon types, I'm wary of both their electric and ice weakness, but if one is only susceptible to just ice, it's one less weakness to deal with, making it undefeatable!

Don't forget that dragon-types are weak to their own element, as well.

hehehe I agree with nicko xDD

I'm staring at it as hard as I can but I just can't think of any critique at all..! and at least I'm not agonizing on the fact that I've never heard of it, I absolutely love pokemon xDD *is glancing from a picture of the cartoony version to this* mehh, maybe the eyes. I believe Flygon's eyes are fully red, but if the yellow was merely to bring the black dots out more than I see no trouble in that.

I love your interpretation on it, and might I say that I absolutely love realistic Flygon pictures ^.^

You've never heard of Flygon?!

The eyes ARE fully red, and believe me, I wondered whether I should give it bug eyes, but...

I think he looks good this way. The inking looks strange, though.

O_o did I say that?? xDD no, I've heard of Flygon, I've heard of every single pokemon, and have played with the vast majority of them in pokemon games. still need to bother with a
Trapinch and evolve it though...

*nods* Flygon's really cute with those giant eyes, to xD

and, bleh, did I just say I liked realistic flygon pictures? xD I meant I like realistic pokemon pics in general.

hmm do you mean the outlining inking or the coloring?

EmperorDinobot In reply to Bleedingraptorclaw [2008-03-01 21:08:11 +0000 UTC]

The outlining.

Flygon's always been in my R/S/E team. He's a good one.

Bleedingraptorclaw In reply to EmperorDinobot [2008-03-01 21:20:14 +0000 UTC]

*nods* my advice would be to make the pencil sketch bigger a bit.. you draw traditionally, correct? I've never tried re-outlining in pen, but I can assume from experiences with the pen tool in paint (erasable there, but still) that it will look better when the outline is bigger ^^ I may be wrong though.

once I play emerald again (I wanna start over but I have traded pokemon and really good ones, craaaap!) I will go train up my Trapinch... *wants to see firthand just HOW good Flygon is*
