Personality: Vengeful and full of anger, Bassi only does what will end in his better interests. He's loath to help others unless they're of use, such as a possible mare to spread his genes, or a strong fighter. He's cunning and hotheaded, seeking to get what he wants by any means possible. He's also fond of leaving others to perish should their worth to him diminish. He's a strong and stubborn leader, and he takes any challenge head on. He hopes to make a large harem for himself and pass on his "pure" genes to the mangey horses of Eoh.

Bassi also harbors a strong hatred towards humans, and should he encounter some, his first action will be to kill and ask questions later. He finds most only come to steal away horses, and he certainly won't be their next victim, not without a fight.

Backstory:
Much of Bassi's childhood was like any other horse, he was wild and free, living with a large herd predominantly controlled by one main stallion, said stallion being his own sire. While life was easy enough for his first two years, when he neared 3 years, he'd separated to make his own herd, this was when he'd first encountered humans, and being young an inexperienced in dealing with the two-legged beings, he was captured, branded and forced to work for them. Many horses he'd come to make friends with during his capture met violent ends, either at the end of a sword or axe, or from sheer exhaustion, whilst Bassi managed to survive, for better or worse, his personality took a turn.

The once hopeful and optimistic stallion became hateful and vengeful, seeking to plot his escape and kill as many humans as he could, said opportunity came while the band of horses these humans had been using, were transported on a ship to their next ground of work. A mare had started to act out, frightened by the water and the boat's rocking, the humans, not wanting to deal with such nonsense, cut the mares throat, Bassi, disturbed by their cruel response, kicked and flailed, pushing a few of the men overboard and breaking a few bones of others, he was sure he heard the crunch of a skull, but adrenaline kept him going.

One human managed to swing a blade at the rampaging horse, cutting across his left eye and blinding it, the pain, terror, anger, and adrenaline kept the stallion going however, and he managed to sever the rope tied around his neck, making his way to the rails of the boat and diving overboard. He fully expected to die in the frigid waters, and he assumed the humans thought so as well, as they left the injured stallion to swim in circles, disoriented and the pain becoming more prominent as salt water burned the gash in his face.

What happened afterwards was a blur, but the stallion recalled awaking on a similarly cold shore, ice sticking to his fur and rotting corpses of horses he'd only suspected the humans cast overboard all around. Instead of taking the situation and being traumatized by it, Bassi knew that this harsh change was a new beginning. He'd have both his own herd, and chance to kill more of the humans who'd thought to enslave him.
