Runa and the Wolf <-Prev |♦|Next-> Tell me about your Mother

Friendly Encounter

As Hakon followed Runa and the strange little one, paw steps sounded behind him. "Mischievous, the little ones are, aren't they?" it chuckled quietly, "My own couldn't sit still for just two minutes." It was a wolf! It looked elderly and relaxed, maybe it could help you keep an eye on this trouble maker and Runa?

 1. Maybe they can help. After all, if you ever lost sight of the pair, you could always ask the wot to track them [100/750]
 2. You've got no time too chit-chat, you better get moving before you lose sight of them [ignore]

Side Quest

The grey filly disapear with Runa farter into the dark forest, you follow they trace easly. You noticed the smell of various horses, but saw no one... You also saw paws prints of wolves... Big wolves. To big to be a normal wolf. It was probably werewolves. You saw soon enought that the night start falling, and the grey filly is still playing with Runa. Suddently, you ear growls around you. It was for sure werewolves... A pack of them, and it seem like the grey filly is trying to found some meat for her family! What do you do?!

 1. You run away, leaing the fillies behind.
 2. You join as fast as you can Runa and the grey filly and ask for explications.
 3. You join the fillies and attack the grey filly.

Hakon didn’t like it. Not when he’d watched the filly lead Runa away, and not when he picked up the scent of other horses and those beasts. She was way out of line if she thought Hakon would just leave little Runa to be eaten, and now with a seemingly friendly wolf offering to track the two, he decided he’d accept the old wolf’s offer and use her skills.

"Mischievous, the little ones are, aren't they?" she chuckled quietly, "My own couldn't sit still for just two minutes."

“You’re not with that filly?”

“Oh, heavens no. Werehorses and werewolves aren’t on the same terms with us common wolves... But I wouldn’t mind helping you follow them? The forest is pretty dense, and while you might be a rather tall stallion, I’ve got a better nose!”

“If that’s the case, would you mind keeping your nose trained on the filly and her friends? I don’t like unwanted company.”

“Neither do I dear.” The wolf replied. She seemed very calm and relaxed, and while he was on edge, she didn’t give him anything to be concerned of, thus they set off after the two foals.

It wasn’t until they’d caught up to Runa and the strange wolf-filly that the older she-wolf had commented in a low whisper, “I’m sure you don’t need me to tell you this, but she’s got friends nearby.”

Hakon nodded, he could smell horses well enough, horses he assumed were like the filly, as well as werewolves. It seemed there was a group from what he could gather. He still felt unease as he stood hidden in the bushes, and not able to wait any longer, he’d burst out and galloped over to the two foals. Runa looked rightfully startled, spinning around to face Hakon. She hadn’t noticed how far they’d gotten, as the wolf-filly had kept her distracted.

“Hakon! Sorry! I didn’t realize we wandered so far off!” The black filly apologized, moving to his side. He wasn’t concerned so much for her wandering, but instead he directed his gaze to the other strange foal, he wanted answers.

Said filly didn’t seem fazed, she only cracked a slightly agap smile, showing off her sharp teeth.

“What’s the meaning of this? This is absolutely and completely unacceptable. I was expecting something bad, and my suspicions were right.” The stallion stared her down and while the filly at first didn’t answer, she soon shifted her gaze to his, “I’m just getting food.”

“You can eat other horses!” Hakon yelled, causing Runa to slink behind him as she realized her new “friend” didn’t have the friendliest of intentions.

“You wanted to eat me?” She stammered after poking her head around Hakon, the elderly wolf joining her at Hakon’s side.

“Well, not me, my pack.”

“That’s not a way for a horse to live, you might be a werehorse, but there are better choices!” Hakon scolded her, stomping a hoof. This was ridiculous, and the longer he wasted trying to get answers the closer her pack probably got, unless they’d change their minds as the odds were greater now with a stallion around.

“I don’t care who they are, what you are, but if you want a better life you better make smarter decisions. Attacking other horses will only get you hurt.”

“I won’t get caught.” She replied coyly.

“I caught you.”

“Did you?” She smirked the same toothy grin at him, lifting her head to look briefly around the forest. Her friends hadn’t arrived just yet, and if they were coming, Hakon couldn’t tell from her expression. Aside from her occasional grin or smirk, she kept a rather collected expression. He didn’t want to leave her though, what if her “pack” was angered at her loss of food, they might turn on her if she was just a werehorse and not a beast.

Runa spoke up, “Hey, you don’t gotta attack other horses, we can still be friends if you want. You had fun earlier, didn’t you?’ The filly did in fact not want to lose a new playmate, and while the whole idea of being led into a trap had frightened her, she still felt the other filly was deserving of forgiveness.

Side Quest

When you join the filly, she seems really not happy to see you and tried to bite you, then run away, still trying again to get Runa with her. But this time, it seems like it won't worked.. So she come back to Runa to talk to her. "Please, come with me! I don't want to stay alone! Mom can't wait more babies, and I don't want to play alone! Come with me!". What do you do?

 1. You tell her that you want to see her "mom" to talk a bit with her...
 2. You ignore the filly and talk Runa with you.
 3. You ask more information about the "mom".
