My WIP I posted on tumblr isn't too much different. Welp.
Really love this pairing; it's my eternal OTP. Gallade and Gardevoir compliment each other very well. Granted, they both look fine individually, but I can't help but think that when you put them together they're ready to conquer the world.
Did this with SAI Paint, though it started out with a meager sketch on my sketchpad. I admit that I had major help with the following resource for the pose: crystallinefeathers.deviantart…
I also googled up stained glass windows because my own stained glass window patterns were crappy so yeah, google helped me too. Can I just say that those stained glass window patterns were from coloring websites meant for little kids?
But yeah, not too shabby for a first digital art picture.
Now I have to stop procrastinating and get back on my fanfic writing. XD

Wow, I totally love the stained glass window at the back!
I'm also really fond of the colors of the galaxy on the other side of the window, and the reflection of the Gardevoir's dress on the floor.

Really busy, so every time I come home I'm like "Uggghhhhh more work" and I don't really wanna do anything but sleep. That's why I'm procrastinating so much on To a Conquering of Spacetime. Genevra and Redley are in my head all the time though, so I have to start writing again soon.

it's just... it feels like it's a crime to fail at drawing your own characters.
in a way they rely on you. i often drift off to that world hidden in my mind.
it's kinda like a second life (the one i want to live)
i reflect experienced events of the day and convert them partly
to possible events i reexperience in that world in my head.
i'm very emotional and i grow to creat connections to my characters.
Molly and Percy are two of my first creations, so there's a very deep bond to them
please excuse this enormous bunch of words. i tend to spill out my 'thoughts' when i had'nt gotten enough sleep

Creating characters take much work. In the beginning, Redley and Genevra were empty silhouettes, but then after working and thinking a lot about them, I finally made good use of them in To a Conquering of Spacetime.
Yeah, characters do rely a lot on you, and I have to consistently treat my characters as if they were my own children or else they would die. I put a lot of myself and my personal experiences in my characters, but they are not me. Still, they are mine, and I want to take good care of them in the story I'm writing with them. More often than not, it feels like I'm working instead of having fun, but I don't let that get me down.
Still, I wouldn't worry. I'm sure you'll be fine! If you work hard enough, sometimes characters will write themselves (or draw themselves). In other words, you spend so much time trying to figure out what you want for your characters that after making so many mistakes you know what's good for your characters and you know what's NOT good for your characters. I had to try to make different personalities for Genevra and Redley before I finally realized what was right for them, and that took a long time anyway!
