Description This is a study of a figure sketch by Bertin. This is VERY different to how I go about figure drawing, so it was nice to attempt it and try to get a feel for the process. I may try this type of drawing again in the future with my own reference, as I really do like the look of it.

This is so cool. Did you draw the multiple limbs or was it like that in the Bertin sketch?

The facial proportions seem a bit off. Almost like her face is squished to be too thin on her head.

The sketch had the multiple limbs. I usually would not include all the work behind a drawing like that, but this sketch had that really loose feel to it.

I actually am not having the best luck finding a link to this reference online. If you could see it though the face is indeed weird, but I do see that I fudged it more than it should have been.

Loose lines, observation, and focus on line thickness. Because I was working from a reference, it was not hard to get into the style of it once I got going. What I didn't do was map out the general shapes first, that came from drawing and redrawing the figure, which results in the chaotic linework.
