Trivia:
- The Skrulls were a thriving empire who lived in peace and prosperity on their home planet Skrullos. However, they eventually came into conflict with the Kree who defeated them in a genocidal war and destroyed their homeworld.
- The thousands of Skrull survivors used deception and their shapeshifting abilities to seek refuge in various planets by blending in with their population. The Kree Empire began a propaganda campaign that depicted the Skrulls as evil invaders who infiltrate planets with the intention to conquer them in order to hunt down any Skrull refugees they could find.
- One faction of the Skrulls led by Talos found temporary refuge aboard a Kree cruiser hidden in Earth's orbit, being sheltered by a rogue Kree known as Mar-Vell, who researched a way to build a Light-Speed Engine, hoping to provide transport to the faction away from the Kree's war. However, Mar-Vell was assassinated before he could complete his work, resulting in the refugees residing in his spaceship for six years.
- After the defeat of the Dagon, Azmuth(who saw through the Kree's lies) helped the Skrull create a super soldier serum that would allow them to gain certain abilities depending on whatever alien they shapeshifted themselves or their body parts into to help them fend off the Kree. Although they only managed to create one, the injected Nowibel, code-named Super Skrull, proved to be a great success against the Kree. Seeing the Super Skrull in action inspired Azmuth to create the Omnitrix to give other beings the full power and biology of any species to understand them better.
- However, the Super Skrull was eventually killed after having sacrificed his own life to ensure his people's safety.
- In the 1990s, several Skrulls were killed by an elite Kree hit-squad during the Ambush in Torfa. Talos kidnapped a brainwashed human Kree soldier named Vers, and tried to read her mind with a memory probe. Vers escaped, killing several Skrulls and causing her and the surviving Skrulls to land on Earth. The Skrulls took human forms so they could find the Light-Speed Engine in the hopes of finding a new homeworld beyond the Kree's reach.
- Eventually, Talos and Norex formed an alliance with Vers(or Carol Danvers, who had her memory restored) and a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent known as Fury, once it became clear that the Skrulls were, in fact, victims of Kree oppression. In a Battle at Mar-Vell's Laboratory, Danvers, Fury and the Skrull warriors recovered many Skrull refugees and civilians whom Mar-Vell had helped hide. After defeating the invading Kree fleet, Danvers decided to help the Skrulls find a new homeworld and look for Skrull survivors scattered throughout the galaxy.
- After many hardships, Danvers had the Skrull eventually settle on Toriforal, Wakandria's sister-planet, due to it being similar to their homeworld. They would later become affiliated with the Bosepanter as neighbors in their star system and would recreate their peaceful and protective empire with their aid.
- The Skrull would later restart the Super Skrull program with the help of a Galvan biologist and a Cerebrocrustacean pharmacist. Before taking this serum, the candidates would take a test that would show if one of the candidates was worthy in heart before the candidate would be trained and/or tested in physical strength. The worthy candidates would then take the serum and become the new Super Skrull. A few of the current Super Skrulls include a soldier by the name Kl'rt, an Ambassador named Paibok, a diplomat known as Xavin, the refugee Talos, a scientist known as Criti Noll, a warrior named Xavin, and a handful of others.
- There are some Skrulls who use their abilities for malevolent purposes, including one of the Super Skrulls who allied himself with the Kree Empire, but many of them are seen as traitors by the Skrull people.
