Ken Maxwell Tennyson is the son of Ben Tennyson and Julie Yamamoto from one of many alternate future timelines. On his tenth birthday, he received an Omnitrix from his father along with his first ten aliens: Swampfire, XLR8, Diamondhead, Grey Matter, Blitzwolfer, Ditto, Big Chill, Upgrade, Four Arms, and Feedback. Ken has had the Omnitrix for 5 years and has worked hard so that he will become a great hero in the future like his father.
Personality:
A heroic and good-natured aspiring hero, Ken Tennyson is cocky and playful in battle, yet mature, responsible, and sensible whenever he has to be. He is as compassionate and kindhearted as his mother, as well as quite optimistic. Embodying the heroics of his father and the empathy of his mother, Ken has proven himself to be selfless at times, even willing to put his own life in jeopardy to save and protect others. When things gets tougher though, he becomes more serious and determined to pull through, and even takes extreme measure to accomplish it, as his idealistic views can lead to an unwillingness to compromise his values and sometimes drive him to act against reason, such as helping even certain enemies if they need it. However, when Ken fails to save someone, or if someone gets hurt because of his failures, he becomes much more aggressive and impulsive.
As the son of Ben Tennyson, Ken looks up to his father a lot and aspires to become a part of his father's legacy as the Hero of Heroes, and as such he is very ambitious and determined when it comes to being a hero. The driving force in Ken's motivation to being a hero is to spend more time with his father, who wished to do the same with Ken but was too busy fulfilling his duties most of the time, therefore Ken sometimes believes that becoming a hero himself is the only way to live up to his father's legacy and spend more time with him.
Ken is also very forgiving and sympathetic, as every time he got into an argument with his father, Ken always though that he try to be better for him. Despite how his father was concerned for his safety and tended to hold Ken back in a fight, instead of rebelling against him, Ken's first instinct was to try again and again to help him. And when he felt betrayed by one of his friends, he felt no anger or resentment, and all he wanted to do was let them know that he didn't have to be like that and that there is always another way out.
Ever since Ken turned fourteen, he has displayed great leadership skills, as well as the ability to adapt his attitude to a situation, becoming more serious when it's called for, and has often acted as a reasonable negotiator and peacekeeper to his team whenever they get into an argument. While Ken still keeps his bravery, determination, independence, and overconfidence as a child, as he matured, Ken has curbed his attitude (with some help from his parents and mentors) and has become more calm and collected, relying more on wits and intellect to deal with more of his situations, becoming more sensible and responsible as a leader and person. He is very committed to his work as a hero and works as efficiently as possible, while still retaining an upbeat attitude.
Ken has developed a great interest in learning about the Omnitrix ever since he received it on his tenth birthday, both to improve it and to learn how to use it better and unlock some functions, and to be more knowledgeable about intergalactic cultures and biology. Ken was shown to be slightly more intelligent and resourceful than his father was at the same age, as when he was 12, he thought to use Grey Matter to hack his Omnitrix and remove the limiter, something that his father seemingly did not consider doing himself. He didn't unlock Master Control as he was hoping, but he at least unlocked the Omnitrix's Psychic Activation setting.

- Ken's hoodie has an Omnitrix emblem on the back of it.
- Ken strives to become a great hero like his father Ben, who he gets along very well with as when he is not busy being a hero. Ben even spends the entire day he has with Ken.
- Even though Ken's Omnitrix doesn't have Master Control, it does have the quick-change feature that Ben has from Alien Force onwards.
- Ken Tennyson has Omni-Kix transformations while Ben does not. This was to make Ken 10 stand out more and not simply seem like a carbon copy of Ben 10.
- This is similar to Goku and Gohan developing different abilities and skillsets following the Majin Buu Saga in Dragon Ball Z.
- Ken was named by Ben after his cousin Kenneth.
- Ken gets along with Kenneth as he does appreciate having a family member who is very down to earth. Ken is a very supportive and wise uncle figure, often knowing just what to say or do to cheer Ken up.
- Ken and his mother(Julie) have a close bond with each other.
- Julie even inspired Ken to take up tennis.
- Ship inherited the Animatrix from Jet.
- Ben gave Ken Atomix, Solar Flare, MonKi, and Alien X for the rare case in which he were to encounter someone like Eon. It should be noted that Ken still has these aliens in a locked away powerhouse playlist to only be used when absolutely necessary.
- Ken has met the Ice Pack(Big Chill's offspring). Ken is surprisingly very close to his fourteen Necrofriggians sort-of-siblings, despite the species differences. Glacier was an exception as she typically treats Ken with resentment and often picks on him, saying that he's just Ben’s favorite rather than his Necrofriggian half-children. However, in actuality, Glacier cares for Ken deep down.
- Glacier and Ken's family dynamic is similar to the interactions between Raphael and Michelangelo from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
- Despite how Ben no longer has to take care of the Ice Pack, he still visits them on occasions such as on holidays or their birthday.
- Ken's second cousin, Devlin Levin, is like a best friend to him and a good partner.
- Devlin Levin is a human/Osmosian/Anodite hybrid, and as such possesses his father's energy and matter absorbing abilities as well as his mother's mana powers(and he has even recently taken up studying magic with her).
- Due to Devlin's Osmosian DNA, Kevin(having experienced what it is like to go insane due to Osmosian energy absorption, and wanting to be a good father for his son) decided to teach Devlin everything he learned from the people of Osmos V to help him learn to control his mentality and make sure she never takes a path like he once did. He even taught Devlin techniques such as the energy redirection technique, putting a time limit on mutations, and even using himself as a living energy conduit. Devein has only managed to pull off the energy redirection technique, but has temporarily given himself a Pyronite arm after absorbing Ken’s Omnitrix in the past.
- Devlin's Anodite powers were taught to him by both his mother and his great-grandmother Verdona. Gwen taught Devlin discipline and control with his mana powers, while Verdona taught him about improving his mana powers to the point where at the age of 10, he became as proficient as Gwen was at the age of 12. He still holds onto his mother's teachings of discipline and his father's teachings of control though, so as skilled as he is, he doesn't typically go all out.
- Devlin managed to learn a new skill by using his teachings of Anodite mana manipulation and apply it into his Osmosian energy absorption powers. This new skill was manipulating energy from outside sources and absorbing energy without needing to touch it. Devlin still chooses to temporarily store this energy inside of himself before releasing it for an attack though.
- Another few of Ken's close friends are Rook Bishop and Rook Guinevere, children of Rook Blonko and Rayona. Rook Bishop is the more calculating and serious twin and always in big brother mode while Guinevere is the more eccentric, optimistic, and cheerful of the two.
- The dynamic between Bishop and Guinevere is similar to that of Dipper and Mabel from Gravity Falls.
- Rook Bishop and Guinevere applied for the Plumbers academy for high school and have been working to become aspiring Plumbers like their father. Some of Bishop's notable talents include marksmanship, hand-to-hand combat, blaster proficiency, expertise in science, and skills with operating and hacking technology. Meanwhile Guinevere's skills include swordsmanship, hand-to-hand combat, grappling hook proficiency, keen instincts, and surprisingly efficient skill in science and survival training. Bishop is hoping to get a Proto-Tool for his 20th birthday(he is 17), but is content with his trusty twin blasters, focusing on long-ranged combat. And as for Guinevere, she relies on her trusty twin plasma katanas.
- Ken plays Duel Monsters just like his dad. He uses Synchron/Stardust Deck and his Main Monster is Stardust Dragon.
- Ken has previously fought some of Ben's rogues gallery including Dr. Animo, Billy Billions, Dr. VonBirkin, Stormfront, and even Xenostar.
- Billy would be the first member of Ken's own rogues gallery.
- Ken has met a masked hero known as Spanner, who claimed to be a dimension-hopping time traveler from another timeline, although he is unsure who he is behind the mask.
- Ken, Devlin, Bishop, and Guinevere have formed an alliance with the children of other heroes such as Superboy(Jon Kent), Robin(Damian Wayne), Spider-Girl(Mayday Parker), Spiderling(Anna Parker), and Nightstar(Mar'i Grayson).
