Eheh, I'm well aware of the fact that I've said gross things in the past. This was three years ago - I definitely don't hold that same view any longer. Typically I try not to go back and read my comments but in this case I probably need to revise the description since, of course, people will still find it as you have, and read the comments. Such comments, therefore, might discourage them from what they actively enjoy, tarnishing their perception of it.
I've removed the statement, and I apologize if it's caused any unrest - and of course, thank you for bringing it up! Always need a reason to kick past-me in the butt for being an egg about people liking things.

A comment to your comment. If people find and like/fave this because it's Umbreon, that's in no way a bad thing. Those people are more likely to check around the rest of your profile and works. At least, that's how I do it.

You know what? I actually think just drawing an existing Eeveevolution is kind of boring. I would rather have some creative aspect involved, like the ideas behind the March and June contests.
I also love designing my own Pokemon. I immensely enjoyed the project a friend and I did last year in which we designed an Eeveelution for each unused type.

I like this one, because it looks like a cat, the shading is good, the colors look vibrant, the fur lies very naturally, and the total content of the picture is very good.
The fact that it's an Umbreon is simply a plus.

I hate the way Umbreon is so overrated. It makes me feel like I have to speak bad Japanese or give every drawing of them a pink bow. And squeal every time I see one. :/
The only reason I like them is because it's what I accidentally evolved my first Eevee into (without knowing what it COULD evolve into 
And shiny because I hate red eyes.
RED EYES ARE OVERRATED.

I think the 'first Pokemon Eevee evolved into' thing is what endears most people to their Espeon and Umbreon, purely because they'd have no idea what they were doing and it was such a novelty to have this new exciting Pokemon~
Nowadays I don't know why people obsess over it so much.

I don't understand why people even like Umbreon considering so many people probably use it wrong. It's a dark tank pokemon but I'm sure everyone uses it as an attacker... which, you know, ESPEON is for. I agree so much with you, the level of love for a piece because it's just an Umbreon mentally disgusts me.
