Info: Mearis is the Goddess of Hellfire, and is worshiped in very few villages throughout Sedna. She is incredibly protective of her worshippers, and quite luckily for the Sednian Kingdom, they are few in number and disinterested in conquest of any kind. The reason this is fortunate for Sedna is due to the fact that Mearis does not allow anyone to threaten, harm, or otherwise bring disorder to her followers, personally taking care of any potential threat before her followers even know it exists. As such, there are a few villages in Sedna that the Kingdom's forces or any other potential trespasser cannot touch due to her omnipotent protection over them. While she is kind and benevolent to her followers, such godliness is exclusive only to those who pledge their name to her.

For those who willingly come to her to give their lives, she will manifest herself in a Benevolent Form and accept their words of devotion, but only if they are true. She can read through any silver tongue, and will know if a person truly intends to dedicate themselves to her. However, anyone who lies about their dedication or threatens ANY one of her individual followers or villages, no matter their status or power, will be 'gifted' with the presence of her Malevolent Form, and she will bring them into a personal Hell. Her victim(s) will stay there, to be tortured personally by the Goddess for as long as it takes to break them into being a true follower as well. Not one person who has been converted to worshipping her has ever been reformed, as she will view anyone trying to bring them back to their former life as a threat themselves, and will then capture them as well. This can cause one person being converted to lead to their friends and family being converted as well, as they attempt to bring back their loved one from the twisted Goddess' watch.

She feels no regret or guilt over who she tortures, and will torture everyone with the purest cruelty possible, escalating for as long as it takes to break them. However, she will torture even more cruelly anyone who manages to commit a heinous act against a follower or village of hers, such as murder or severe harm of any one individual under her protection. For these special cases, she will completely remove the individual's ability to vocalize, therefore never allowing them to plead their lives truly to her, therefore never allowing them to leave her Hell and become a follower. The most famous case of this happening was when a former Sednian Queen had one of her followers executed, as in their former life, they had committed many heinous acts. The Queen disappeared within the same hour without a trace, never to be seen again. That was nearly a century ago.
