Horrible. Horrible. Title.This was another half-finished drawing from a month or so ago I never bothered to finish until this morning.
She's not a fan character or anything, but I keep imagining her as some sort of juvenile Control Brain or something. Or mind controller. Controlling something, I dunno!
I experimented a bit with glitter, and oh-boy, do I adore glitter
Mainly on her cheeks, chin, the eye-cavity-thingies, and the helmet. I don't get the deal with the antennae, but I imagined them flipped over her face like that. Or the halo. Just something surreal and pretty really!Self Critique - I personally loathe drawing realistic mouths, and I still am not getting that lusture I was hoping for. I need to work on shading faces a little more, and I also worked out since Irkens don't have noses, they wouldn't have philtrums, meaning they wouldn't have the mini "indent" on their top lip. Gwaaaaaahhh. Oh well.
I need to try and get the nerve to try more masculine faces. Drawing guys.. I find that embarrassing still, I suppose
Oh, I also got lazy on the shading and highlights and didn't bother checking for how things reflected and bounced. I need to go study anyway.

I was quite experimental with this style, I haven't wandered too far into semi-realism, let alone semi-realisitic Irkens.

everything is utterly amazingness. i like the scratchy square things in the background. im such a noob-head at digital, so im amazed by these types of things. xD ESPECIALLY THE GLITTER. OH MAI.
drawing more masculine faces aint that hard. its probably because your female, so your more used to your own face. but drawing masculine faces just means exaggerating points n stoof. like, the jaw is more distinguished. i imagine a stereotypical mans face as being either square or rectangle-like. while a females is circular and has soft rounded edges.

i study faces from there when i need a reference of some sort. or i want to contrast and compare races, male/female,ect ect
not to mention you can make your own face so... XD

Pink is an Irken eye colour staple D: It's like the brown of the human race. The scratchy-square stuff was the best brush I could find to mimic electrical/Matrix like stuff. Wargh. AND GLITTER. Yes, I obsess.
Yeah, pretty much what I assume 
But ho'shit, that site's just plain fun! XDD There are a heap that don't follow those square/not-square rules though, which is getting me a little confused there

Ah, yes. I've kind of been wondering now what the irken mouth really looks like. There's all kind of interesting things it could be if they are insectoid. Though, then it would seem pretty weird to humans. But then again, they have no comment on the fact that he's green and has no nose or ears.

Insectoid? They'd be quite interesting, though I think Irkens are far more humanoid to have that, since they clearly have their skeletons on inside (you can see their teeth in their mouth.)

Holy jeebus. I think I just died. First of all, you've carefully skulpted a realistic alien lifeform, from her shoulders up. The glitter and light effects add an extra POW! to the already subdueing punch to the face. The eyes, and their reflections are the kick to the groin, which has me teary eyed. And the final assumption, that you, and only you, can pull off such amazing artistical performances adds a Chuck Norris roundhouse, killing me in one powerful, spinning blow. You're deviation was so amazing, it killled me.

Thanks, I really do try. I do dream about writing a novel or a comic some day in my life. One of my career choices is to be a language arts, or linguistics teacher. I want to be an art teacher to, but art really is my specialty, as most people can see.
