I have to second, *TheGreatInvaderBob one thing that I cannot stand that is really distracting about tutorials is the superfluous writing that some artist get carried away with. This is straight forward and to the point. It isn't a huuuuuuuge block of text that rambles about random crap or has difficult explanations. I used to skip a lot of tutorials for those reasons.
I really find your tutorial so helpful and useful even though I believe I'm at an intermediate level at Photoshop. It can help beginners and advanced users (probably advanced already know or are beyond this I dunno) but mostly beginner to intermediate. I like learning about how other people use photoshop and I really am thankful to learn how to do it your way which I find fun easy and different.
Excellent tutorial, I look forward to the next but hey I know what you mean when you drift to other works I'm so excited to see your other stuff anyways. P: I'm a drifter too. I can relate here if you can't finish something fast.

Oh yes, see in my early days I did look at quite a few tutorials. A lot where bright and colourful and had lots of scribbly bits to it to make it funny but it does take away from the point a lot. I tried to make this as simple as possible, layout wise and text wise, because I know one or the other, I am known to confuse people with xD
Yeah I was indeed targeting more the newbies for this. Advanced was not really my goal for this because when I made this I had in mind the people who asked me questions that related similar to these, like layer settings. I may as well put those questions all in one place (:
Oh yes.. we're drifters I really don't know what else I can tutor anyone else about that I am confident with though. One day maybe, but right now all I can say now is simplistic ways to colour in

Awesome!! I am so thankful for this tutorial!!
(I was hoping you were going to put the second part up, I was thinking about it-no lie- all day during school xD)
You put Imaginaaation on there, x3.
Thank you so much, this was so immensely helpful; I'll link you to my practice piece when I get it up.

You kidding? xD Wow! Haha, I try to follow up on things quickly if it's a multiple thing, so it's all good
Yeah, I remembered that there were some people who also commented about the highlights and the "mystery" of them but really, it's nothing hard
You are very welcome! I will look forward to seeing it!

;o; I am massively grateful for this tutorial. As a brand new Photoshop/Tablet user, any help I can get is wonderful. And this one actually explains things well and doesn't make itself sound stupid (believe me--there are ones where the overactive writing is distracting and annoying, which naturally makes the thing painful to read).
Thank you for, um, being amazing...?
I can't begin to tell you how much I will use this tutorial.

Ooh you got a tablet and Photoshop now? 8D Congratulations!
I think I know what you mean. I kept this layout simple on purpose. A lot of the other tutorials where colourful, they had little scribbly jokes all through it and it really does go out of the basic attention span of myself sometimes xD
You are very welcome I will be looking forward to seeing what you can do with this!

That Tak was a good idea! I wonder where you got the idea from.
I've got to practice my shading before I practice highlights. But I'll look at it anyway. I wouldn't have thought of putting coloured highlights like that. Thanks!
