It's stamp sunday. x] Nah, I'm currently working on a Criminal Minds meme, but well... I want it to be perfect, and... hm, yeah, let's talk about the stamp.I really don't get it. Roleplaying fictional characters is a common thing, I know, but REAL LIFE GUYS? ... I don't get it at all... What's the point in roleplaying stars, shipping them and all? That won't make it happen, girls. And even if it do happens, well... I still don't understand WHY you spend your time creating RPGs (I've seen some), forums, fictions, RPs about them or any other celebrity...
Anyway. You do as you wish, have fun with that. Sue me, if you'd like. Idgaf. I'm somewhat of a fangirl too. (Just not crazy enough to roleplay real life singers... I hate them anyway.)

Honestly, I don't think there's anything wrong with roleplaying real life people/celebrities since there's almost no chance of any of them getting to see that roleplay or hurt them in any way. So the fact that these celebrities won't ever know about this roleplay makes it almost (key word, almost) equivalent to roleplaying a fictional character who for obvious reasons won't either. XD As long as the roleplayer is happy and in-character about who they roleplay as, there shouldn't be any restrictions or "rules" or fear getting judged because they roleplay a real person or fictional character.
I was reading through these comments and many talk about how gross the One Direction roleplays might be, but honestly, roleplayers from almost every fandom do the same thing. At the end of the day no one gets hurt from doing something that they clearly enjoy, so really there shouldn't be any problem with it.

- I really don't have a problem with it. xD I don't do it, but people on Tumblr do it, and people on here do it. And, I agree with ~Kelsey-Kat on this one. It's really not a big deal with shipping the boys with each other / roleplaying them / writing fanfiction because it's fun, they enjoy it, and because they can. It's the same thing with RealWorldXSelf-Insert or RealWorldXOC. I don't find it "creepy," or "strange" or whatever else you might think. Because, I'm pretty sure that 1D is used to it. I write the fanfiction myself, but I only do it for fun, and the same reasons why people roleplay the boys. Not to "fulfill my fantasies" or whatever. It's called fanfiction for a reason. Fan - FICTION. It's not real. All the smut fanfiction and such is not real. People write them because they want to, not because they "think it will make it happen."
So yeah.

It's the same thing. I don't like one direction, but I do roleplay real people. It's the same general concept that you can get with fictional characters. Sometimes they act a little homo and it makes you think about it a bit (as funny as it sounds). And as far as roleplaying real people goes, I guess you'll never understand it unless you try it. But it's honestly the same thing.
I only ship things that are super cannon, though. I don't ship it if they just have pictures together or some shit My OTP has actually kissed and DONE things together even though they're not together...
But like I said, exact same concept. Just a bit different. I used to think real life fanfiction/rping was weird too until I tried it out.

It's different because you can't actually make someone who exists "Out of character". Plus, you (the fans) probably knows a tiny bit of their lives and personality... However, you have more chances to know about their complete stories/personalities and so on. And just to say, if someone roleplayed you, would you be scared? I would.

I'm confused at what you're trying to get at. Nobody who roleplays real people is saying that their work is anything but fictitious and only loosely based on the actual people. Why on earth would I be scared? If anything, I would feel honored that I had inspired somebody to be creative

Why not? You have to remember that they aren't roleplaying the actual person, they are roleplaying a fictitious version of the person only based on their limited knowledge taken from what that person has revealed.

I roleplay Pokemon Trainers (Crystal and Silver from the Pokemon Adventures manga), and Vocaloid (Oliver, Gumi Megpoid, and the Kagamines :3) but... roleplaying an actual person like 1D? That's like roleplaying... Nikki Minaj. It just doesn't happen.
